Several years ago I switched to Linux Mint and happy with it, but will admit that some of their updates download too slow but not as slow as MS and Linux only downloads it once, not twice. Same problem here on Windows 10 - average download speed: Thats a joke. Same problem here. No results from troubleshooter. Fast SSD.

Are you actually do some secret tasks behind the scene when updating? Or are you actually able to understand what is the root cause in your product? Microsoft you need to , get rid of the Windows 10, version 20H2update it is stupid crazy having this, and having outsiders suggest fixes when they are not the ones that caused it, this up date that takes hours it is areal big thorn every time I use my computer. I think it is a crazy bug which Microsoft should solve. In May this year Windows 10 updates erased my complete hard drive. I spent 8 days trying to fix this and in the end had to take it to a professional repair shop. I opted for a new hard drive, saving the old one for another time when I can afford EUR fee for pulling my data out of it. This was all due to the Microsoft update problems.

Whatever issues the OP had A Windows install date of yesterday would say to me that there is little point in thinking that root issue surfaced within 24 hours and relates to Windows. What happens when you disconnect the storage drive? What I thought was a storage drive now looks like it has an OS on it. And it looks like GPT Partition. Why you always had this issue I cannot say. I'm beginning to think it's something to do with the two hdd clashing. Your partitions look weird, I don't think you are installing correctly. Where did you get your install media and how did you create it, MCT or something like Rufus? How did you get so much junk on the pc so quickly?
